I completed the Leo Cussen Practical Legal Training course in 2013 and I was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria. I completed a Bachelor of Laws at Victoria University in which I qualified with first-class honours. Prior to completing my legal degree I completed a Bachelor of International Relations at LaTrobe University in which I also finished with first-class honours.
Prior to my legal studies I was employed as a union organiser for various state and national unions. I chose to work as a union organiser because of my belief and strong commitment to an individual’s economic and industrial rights. I also found working and advocating for the benefit of others very rewarding.
Since my admission to practice I became a volunteer lawyer at Victoria Legal Aid, Frankston branch, under the supervision of Kristen Adam. As a volunteer lawyer at Victoria Legal Aid I have had the opportunity to help the disadvantaged members of our community access and navigate our legal system, which I believe is essential to upholding social justice and the rule of law.
I believe I can contribute to the important work in helping those with disadvantage. I bring both ability and the strongest possible commitment to successful performance in any roles asked of me by our clients.
